Safari Tour ( 12 Days/ 11 Nights )

Day 1- Tripoli Airport/Sebha

After arrival, meet and assist to board flight to Sebha, Then transfer to the
hotel for overnight.

Day 2- Sebha /Ghat

In the early morning drive with 4x4 to the desert town of Ghat, The ancient trading centre of the desert , one of the most attractive oasis, The best part is the well-preserved mud-brick medina in the heart of the town,with its famous Yearly enchanting Tuareg festival,dinner and overnight camping.

Day 3- Ghat/Acacus

After breakfast ,start our journey to the Acacus Mountains and tour one of the finest collections of rock art on earth, The bizarre landscapes and rock formations ,the paintings and engravings of Wadi Anshal and Tanshal,
Pic-nick lunch, dinner and overnight camping.

Day 4- Acacus

Breakfast, then full day journey through the „Louvre of the desert“. Our first step in the red sand of the Acacus Mountains, following the paths of famous travellers and explorers like Heinrich Barth, lunch en- route ,continue the drive into the region of the Tuareg, to Emaha-In Amelal (Tadrart and Tashwint) Dinner and Overnight camping.

Day 5- Acacus/Mathendoush

After breakfast, full day drive in the direction of Wadi Mathendoush through Wan Kazha and Murzuq, for more rock engravings and cave paintings ,
Pick-nick lunch , after noon to watch the sunset by sand ,and listen to the silence, you can hear the heartbeat of the desert, as per an old saying of the Tuareg, dinner and overnight camping.

Day 6- Mathendoush/Ubari

After breakfast ,continue the visit to the prehistoric engravings at Wadi Mathendoush, then a short stopover at the agricultural-project of Wadi Barjuj. Afterwards we’ll surmount the endless dune landscapes of Ubari with 4x4 , and stay overnight between the delicate dune formation and enjoy a breathtaking sunset and dinner .

Day 7- Ubari/Mandra Lakes

Breakfast ,then drive to Erg Ubari,with its hidden behind huge dunes the dozen lakes,and visit some of the most beautiful ones, : Mafo , Mandara, Um el-Ma and Gabaroun,lunch by the lake of Gaberoun ,palm trees and dunes reflecting in the water a reminder of fairy tale, dinner and overnight camping.

Day 8- Mandra Lakes/Germa/Sebha/Tripoli

After breakfast, drive to Germa, the ancient town of the Garamants, the indigenous people of Libya,the cults of the Garamants in the Fezzan shown at the Museum, afterwards to Murzuq, the capital of the Marinides, an oases-village, a visit to the mosque and the fortress then drive to Maknusa, where to see one of the biggest agricultural desert projects ,continue to Sebha airport to take evening flight to Tripoli, after arrival transfer for overnight in the hotel.

Day 9- Tripoli/Leptis Magna/Tripoli

Morning drive to Leptis Magna,for a full day visit to the most spectacular Roman Archeological site,including the Forum,the Market place, Museum and Amphitheater ,lunch by the site ,Afternoon return to Tripoli ,dinner in a city restaurant,overnight in hotel.

Day 10- Tripoli

After breakfast, full day in Tripoli and start with a visit to the National Museum and explore the many different heritage of the country with its mosques and churches, colonial buildings and palaces. The Souqs in the old town ,the coppersmith, the multicoloured materials,lunch in a typical restaurant in old town, dinner ,overnight in hotel.

Day 11- Tripoli/Sabratha/Tripoli

After breakfast,drive to visit the site of Sabratha, with its three level Theater,Punic and Roman Museum, Lunch by the site, afternoon return to Tripoli for a tour in old town including souks, and free time in the new part of the city ,farewell dinner in a city restaurant ,overnight in hotel.

Day 12- Tripoli airport/Destination

After breakfast ,departure to airport to catch flight to your destination.
