4- THE DESERT STAR TOUR - HISTORY AND DESERT ARTS& DUNES (13 days) 

 
  DAY 1 - TRIPOLI AIRPORT/HOTEL  
 

  Arrival in Tripoli airport , meet and assist ,then transfer to hotel , dinner & overnight.  

 
     
  DAY 2 - TRIPOLI/LEPTIS MAGNA/TRIPOLI  
 

Morning drive to Leptis Magna,for a full day visit to the most spectacular  Roman Archeological site,including the Forum,the Market place, Museum and Amphitheater ,lunch by the site ,Afternoon return to Tripoli ,dinner in a city restaurant,overnight in hotel.

  
     
  DAY 3 - TRIPOLI/ SABRATHA/ NALUT/GHADAMES  
  After breakfast, drive to visit te site of  Sabratha , with its three level Theater,Punic and Roman Museums,  Lunch by the site, afternoon start the drive towards Ghadames ,on the way, stop to visit the old town of Nalut , a Barber village with a betauful Barbaric castel  , late afternoon arrival  at Ghadames , dinner, overnight in hotel.  
     
  DAY 4 - GHADAMES
  Breakfast, then a full day visit of Ghadames Unesco World Heritage-listed city, including the Museum, The old town with its unique desert architecture, lunch in a traditional House in old town, afternoon drive to sand Dunnes  to watch sunset,  Then return to hotel for dinner and overnight.  
     
  DAY 5 - GHADAMES/SEBHA  
  Morning departure to Sebha , lunch en route . Dinner & night at the hotel in Sebha .  
     
  DAY 6-SEBHA/GERMA/ALAWINAT  
 

After breakfast ,drive with 4x4 ,towards the Acacus area ,with a first stop to visit Germa  small but interesting museum , then continue  travel on asphalted road to reach the village of Alawainat . Picnic  lunch  en route , and then the camp of Wadi Addad , in the northern  Acacus, This spot is ideal with the beauty and the mystery of the desert. Dinner and overnight at the  camp

  
     
  DAY 7- ACACUS  
  Breakfast, then full day  journey through the „Louvre of the desert“. Our first step in the red sand of the Acacus Mountains, following the paths of famous travellers and explorers like Heinrich Barth, lunch en- route, continue the drive into the region of the Acacus (Tadrart and Tashwint) Dinner and Overnight camping.  
     
  DAY 8- ACACUS/ WADI AWIS / ERG MURZUG( With Camel Riding )  
 

full day  to explore the prehistoric cave painting and the rock engraving of the Acacus mountain area ,with camel ridding and walking of this wonderful desert environment, In a superb scenery of dunes and rocky massifs we will also admire engravings and paintings of different periods. picnic  lunch enroute , Dinner and overnights camping .

  
     
  DAY 9- ERG MURZUG/MATHENDOUSH  
 

Excursion to the worldwide famous rock art of Mathendush in  Messak Settafet,which  were carved by the Prehistoric hunters of the savanna with engravings of animals such as Elephants, Giraffe, Buffalos, Crocodiles  , as well as paintings of hunters and dancers,picnic  lunch enroute   Dinner  and overnights camping .

  
     
  DAY 10- MATHENDOUSH/ UBARI (TWIWA)  
 

full day  to continue  explore the prehistoric cave painting and the rock engraving ,and will cross  a series of dunes stretching between the Acacus  mountains and the plateau of the Messak Settafet ,with sandy slopes, half-moon-shaped and pyramidal   formations , Picnic lunch enroute after arriving the asphalted road we will reach Ubari sands area to the camp site of Twiwa , camp for dinner & night .

  
     
 

DAY 11 – UBARI (TWIWA) / LAGOS MANDRA /TWIWA

 
 

Morning departure by 4x4  to view the beautiful lake of Gaberoum and the surrounding lakes of Mandara Mafou , and Um-Elma , lunch by the lake of Um-Elma ,afternoon return to Twiwa For  for dinner & night in camp .

  
     
 

DAY 12 - TWIWA/LAKES OF MANDRA / SEBHA/ TRIPOLI

 
 

Morning departure to view the beautiful lake of Gaberoun and the surrounding lakes of Mandara , Mafou , and Um-Elma , lunch by the lake of Um-Elma , afternoon departure to Sebha airport ,To catch flight to Tripoli,after arrival transfer to hotel ,for dinner & overnight

 
     
 

DAY 13 - TRIPOLI  AIRPORT

  
 

After breakfast , transfer to Airport to catch the flight to your Destination .
